The OFrom 19 to 21 June 2023, the partners of the Erasmus+ project OpenPass4Climate (OP4C) met in Palencia and Valladolid, Spain, for their second transnational project meeting and training session. Hosted by the University of Valladolid, this three-day event gathered representatives from UniLaSalle (France), NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal), CSCI (Italy), UNICA (Belgium) and UVa (Spain).
The meeting allowed partners to review the progress of the eco-pedagogical mapping (PR1). At this stage, 51 eco-pedagogical activities had already been identified, and the consortium refined the methodology, validated the data-collection process and agreed on next steps for publication on the project website. Discussions also focused on privacy considerations, the ownership of collected data and how to open the mapping to external organisations later in the project.
The partners then examined the first results of PR2, including 229 survey responses and the initial findings from individual interviews carried out by CSCI and NOVA. Reliability indicators were analysed, and the consortium reflected on how these insights would inform the upcoming national and transnational focus groups. These exchanges will form the basis for developing the first guide to Open Badges within the project.
During the training sessions, participants worked collaboratively on the design of learning paths that will feed into the future interactive catalogue, and on the first pool of Open Badges aligned with the GreenComp framework and SDGs. The group also planned the organisation of the international focus group that will bring together students from all partner institutions to co-design badge templates.
Finally, the partners took time to explore Palencia and Valladolid together, strengthening the collaborative spirit that underpins the project. This meeting marked an important milestone in advancing the OpenPass4Climate initiative and preparing the groundwork for the next steps of its implementation.
