PR7 – Methodological Proposition for Lifelong Learning in the Business and Working Sectors

Building on previous project results, PR7 extends the OpenPass4Climate framework to the professional and business sectors. It explores how open badges and digital micro-credentials can support the recognition of sustainability-related skills, strengthen employability, and foster a culture of lifelong learning in Europe’s green transition.

The report analyses EU and national policies shaping the business environment in Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal, and Spain, and presents findings from national focus groups with employers, HR specialists, and sustainability professionals.

Based on these insights, PR7 proposes guidelines for implementing OpenPass4Climate in corporate training, talent development, and cross-sector partnerships. It highlights the importance of credibility, transparency, and employer engagement to make sustainability learning visible and transferable across Europe.
