The Agro, Food & Environmental Engineering degree program (integrated BSc/MSc) offers an internationally-focused curriculum, attracting students from diverse multicultural backgrounds. While it is particularly suited for students from international or European sections, it also welcomes students from various other backgrounds.
Taught entirely in English, this program leads to an engineering degree in Agronomy and Agro-industries. It emphasizes the development of highly sustainable agricultural practices, the creation of innovative agri-food products, the preservation of natural resources, and the integration of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) principles into company management.
The program utilizes innovative teaching methods, including seminars, flipped classrooms, workshops, and fieldwork, with a strong emphasis on learning through research and hands-on application. Class sizes are kept small to ensure personalized attention and a collaborative learning environment.
Students benefit from state-of-the-art facilities, such as experimental greenhouses, the Ag Food and City Lab, high-tech laboratories, and innovation centers like AgroRtech and AgriLab, which provide essential resources for their studies. Additionally, the program offers access to cutting-edge experimental modules, including Vertical Farming, FarmBot, and Aquaponics.
Throughout the program, students participate in five study trips to cities like Brussels, Amsterdam, Valencia, and Parma, broadening their international perspectives. There are also numerous international mobility opportunities, and students have the option to pursue a double degree.
Moreover, the program includes a total of 52 weeks of internships and practical training, providing students with invaluable real-world experience in the field.
