The exhibition aims to discover the opportunities that forests provide, as they play a fundamental role in the fight against climate change by acting as important CO2 sinks – the greenhouse gas whose concentration in the atmosphere has been rapidly increasing; and on the other hand, to uncover the challenges they face. To reconcile the conservation of forest ecosystems with the possibility of sustainably obtaining those goods and services.

The exhibition offers different interactive games where visitors can learn how to calculate the age of trees by reading their rings or consulting the original information on over 40 types of wood. Different audiovisuals with real scenes of forest research complete the exhibition. Online interactive activities have also been developed, such as the game “Adaptatree” and the virtual escape room ‘Mission: Terra’, which interested individuals can access through QR codes installed in the exhibition hall.

Combining education, interactive experiences, and scientific insights, these activities align with the climate challenges by promoting awareness, knowledge, and action towards sustainable forest management and the crucial role of forests in combating climate change.
