Bachelor of Science and Engineering in Environment and Sustainable Development

The increasing awareness of environmental concerns in society is driving significant changes in both companies and local authorities. These transformations are accompanied by a shift in the skillset required by companies to successfully navigate ecological, economic, and digital transitions.
The Bachelor’s degree in Environment and Sustainable Development equips graduates with knowledge in various fields, including Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Quality Health Safety Environment (QHSE), water management, ecology, resource recovery and recycling, circular economy, sustainable tourism, and broader aspects of sustainable development.
The primary objective of this professional degree program is to train versatile professionals capable of proposing continuous improvement solutions that optimize a company’s operations from both environmental and social perspectives.
The curriculum of this 3-years program strikes a balance between scientific skills and human and social sciences. It encompasses a solid foundation in basic sciences such as mathematics, chemistry, sociology, and biology. Students also explore new areas of knowledge related to sustainable development, CSR, and QHSE. The program emphasizes hands-on experience in companies through apprenticeships, employing a “learning by doing” pedagogical approach. Additionally, students develop management skills by supervising and leading transformation or innovation projects.
The program also offers an international dimension through university partnerships, including the Lasallian network and the Erasmus+ program. Throughout the program, students are required to study English as their first foreign language (LV1), and a second foreign language (LV2) is also compulsory. To obtain the diploma, a minimum English proficiency level equivalent to B1 is necessary.
The program spans a total of six semesters and encompasses the acquisition of 180 ECTS credits.
