From 4 to 6 June 2025, the OP4C consortium gathered in Palencia, Spain, for an intensive three-day Learning, Teaching and Training Activity (C7), followed by strategic TPM5 discussions. Hosted by the University of Valladolid, this session brought together staff and experts from all partner institutions for a final round of testing, reflection, and co-creation as the project approaches completion.
Over the course of the event, participants worked collaboratively to:
Review and refine ongoing scientific outputs, including articles submitted to Open Research Europe, communication proposals for TEEM 2025, and contributions to the Open Badges Forum 2025, strengthening OP4C’s open-science dissemination strategy.
Test the Open Badges platform in real conditions, analysing usability, learner experience, and the assessment of GreenComp-aligned sustainability competences.
Advance the OpenPass4Climate Passport, notably: — the algorithm for identifying “green” Open Badges, — improved data interoperability, — badge integration into professional contexts (CVs, LinkedIn), — alignment with the European GreenComp framework.
Finalise pedagogical resources for schools (PR6) and adult/continuing education (PR7), and validate policy recommendations for higher education institutions (PR8).
Organise dissemination and sustainability actions, including preparation of the three upcoming Multiplier Events (Italy – France – Belgium) and consolidation of the project website and digital platforms.
A highlight of the event was the OP4C contribution to the European Commission’s GreenComp Café, hosted by the Education for Climate Coalition — an opportunity to showcase OP4C’s progress to a Europe-wide community of practice.
This final LTTA strengthened the consortium’s shared vision and ensured the quality and coherence of all remaining outputs. The partners now move toward the last months of the project with renewed momentum and a collective commitment to supporting climate engagement through open recognition.
