On 13–14 January 2025, partners of the Erasmus+ project Open Pass 4 Climate (OP4C) gathered at NOVA University Lisbon for two key events: the C6 Training and the 4th Transnational Project Meeting (TPM4). These sessions marked an important step in the development and testing of the OP4C Open Badges system designed to recognise students’ climate-related engagement across Europe.

Day 1 — Sixth Training Activity

Hosted by NOVA, the C6 training brought together learners and staff from all partner institutions to test and refine the Moodle-based platform that will host the OP4C Open Badges.
Participants explored:

  • Key OP4C concepts: eco-pedagogical activities, Open Badges, the Passport, and GreenComp, introduced using materials from the international focus group session.
  • The Moodle structure presented by CSCI, including uploading materials, navigating the badge interface, and drafting badge descriptions.
  • Video tutorials produced by UniLaSalle Beauvais, presented online by Sébastien Ottavi.
  • Technical elements such as learner quizzes, feedback mechanisms, and the alignment between badge requirements and GreenComp learning outcomes.

The day concluded with a collective feedback session to refine the user experience and ensure smooth implementation.

Day 2 — Fourth Transnational Project Meeting

The following day, partners reconvened for TPM4 to review the progress of all project results and plan the final months of implementation.

Key discussion points included:

  • Verification of progress for PR1 to PR8, with a special focus on scientific valorisation and ongoing publications.
  • Integration of student feedback collected during C6 into the final improvements of the Open Badges platform.
  • Coordination for the final testing phase, including the upcoming C7 training in Valladolid.
  • Strategic planning for the final report and dissemination activities ahead of the project’s closure.

The meeting ended with a joint reflection session summarising achievements and outlining the remaining steps for completing the European Open Badge Passport for Climate.
