Environment Day

Each year, UniLaSalle Beauvais hosts its annual Environment Day, an eco-pedagogical event focused on addressing environmental challenges. Initially exclusive to Geosciences students, the event has expanded over the past three years to include student-engineers in Agronomy, Agro-industries, and Agri-food & Health by apprenticeship, fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration.

During the event, students work in mixed teams to create scientific posters on selected environmental themes. In 2023, 124 students explored the topic of mineral resources, producing 21 posters divided into three sub-themes: Energy, Metallic, and Non-metallic Resources. The teams were randomized to encourage diverse perspectives and interdisciplinary teamwork.

The competitive format added excitement, with the three best posters in each sub-theme advancing to a final judged by experts. The event culminated in an awards ceremony, recognizing the students’ contributions to environmental discussions. Environment Day has not only become a highlight of the academic calendar at UniLaSalle Beauvais but also a significant event that encourages collaboration, innovation, and a deeper understanding of environmental sustainability among students from various disciplines.
